When Callboy (the production company) got their Baikonur launch delayed they could not get into orbit for their planned satellite shoot. A disastrous blow to their credability. It was vital for them not to have the agency (Garbergs) dissapointed so they had to do what the americans did for the moonrace. Fake it. The director Max Vitali with his ties to Stanley Kubrik obviously knew all the ins and outs of that kind of covert operation. He turned to a small swedish effects studio to make sure that he could create the needed shots without raising to much suspision and to ensure plausible deniability. (who would believe a couple of guys in a garage?) The scam goes even deeper. When shooting the windpower farm in the north of sweden there where just not enough turbines to fulfill the directors vision. He knew he had to take the agencys mind from the space shoot so the effects studio had to fake that aswell. Had it not been for a screengrab and a picture shot by a whistleblower at the studio there would be no evidence of this scam.
