One bird, two guys and two weeks. Valio Smörsångare, directed by Magnus Renfors and Oscar Bård, is the latest cute 3D-animal brought to life by Syndicate. The production involved intense studies of the artistic performance of Engelbert Humperdink, Tom Jones and other crooner icons.

To make the quick production possible we developed a new plugin to make complex animation of the bird more manageable, while also readying our in-house ultra-fast sub surface scattering plugin for full scale production.

Oh, and it was all shot on RED.
