RWE - Lizzards

The Behind story.

This was the third film Syndicate finilized for the German energy provider RWE. In the film two lizzards are discussing the benefits of using "exchange heat" and other electric topics.

To make the two lizzards able to talk and act Syndicate aproach the challange by using imagebased modelling. They also invested in a RGB laser scanner so they got some perfect 3D modells of the Dragons. In other words real life dragons had to provide some of the acting and computer genereated Lizzard picture material had to do the rest.

The dragons where supplied with 3D generated tounge, mouth and head movements. So the real lizzards acting job was to be as still as possible pretty much all trough the shoot.

Prior to the shoot Syndicate made a 3D previsual / animatic movie. This was used to pre decide all the camera angles and shot durations for the film.

Syndicate have also done some other RWE films.
